Business Analyst-Ibank
Responsibilities:
As part of the Firm’s strategic program in securities trading & processing platform buildout for the international businesses, the firm is seeking a Business Analyst – Trading/Post-trade processing – to be based in the Hong Kong technology team. The team is responsible for the business analysis & platform specification for the newly in-house built strategic platforms. This opportunity will provide the individual with the chance to work with the business across front-to-back functional areas to drive & define the strategic initiative forward.
- Provide business analysis on trading or post-trade processing business to transform the business requirement to technical specifications.
- Drive feasibility studies for potential projects; shape the future platform roadmap and drive the platform buildout per roadmap.
- Work closely with the business, development team, application support and technology risk to oversee and track the technology initiatives being delivered.
- Adhere to and provide support for regional project and risk governance processes
- Interaction with other technology teams locally and globally as well as other departments on platform implementation which includes new requirement signoff, testing and deployment.
- Assist both business and development team on project prioritization
- Participate into user acceptance testing (UAT) including test case preparation and bug fix handling, work with different parties for final system product deliveries
- Prepare work related documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Information System, Computer Science or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in business analyst roles gaining from international brokerage firms covering in at least one of the following business/functional areas: front-office sales & trading, middle/back office post-trade processing either for the cash equities, derivatives, and/or FICC for the Hong Kong, Singapore & other Asian markets.
- Extensive experience in the trade flow & processing of China’s, Hong Kong’s and/or Singapore’s capital market & products, such as equities, derivatives & structured products, bonds, FX is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of the rules & regulation related to HK SFC, SG MAS and Financial Market Infrastructures.
- Excellent verbal and written skill with ability to create high quality written specifications that are comprehensive, accurate, and tailored to the audiences for the business and the tech teams.
- Project management skills that manage the scope, resources and timeline across departments and functional teams, definitely is a plus.
- Good understanding of the Agile development methodology is definitely a plus.
- Strong analytical, fast learning, problem-solving & process improvement skills on vaguely defined objectives/problems; able to multi-tasking under pressure and changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both Chinese and English, conversational in Mandarin is a must.
- Self-motivated and a good team players to build trust & rapport with stakeholders.
